New lease from Hackney Council

PEER is extremely pleased to announce that we have just been granted a new Voluntary and Community Sector lease from Hackney Council.
 
This is tremendous news. The new lease provides us with a discounted sustainable rent over the next five years and is real endorsement of the importance of our work in the borough.

A triangular discussion between artists Karin Ruggaber, Sarah Staton and Phillip Lai, which will explore the wider scope of sculpture and spatial concerns.
 
 
Andro Semeiko: PEER Residency

Andro Semeiko's three-month residency at PEER concluded last month with an open studio week and a number of public events.

During his residency Semeiko collaborated with writers Sally O’Reilly and Zinovy Zinik leading to an exploration of triangles, substantiation, rubbish chutes, drunkenness and scaffolding.

Over the coming months Semeiko will produce an artist's book including texts written by O'Reilly and Zinik as a result of the collaboration alongside images of new work made by the artist. Supported by Arts Council England's Grants for the Arts Award.
 
 
PEER in partnership with Shoreditch Trust receive Arts Council England Catalyst funding

PEER is delighted to announce that our application in partnership with Shoreditch Trustto the Arts Council England Catalsyt scheme has been succesful.

This two-year funding award will enable both organisations to build on their fundraising and development expertise.

PEER and Shoreditch Trust have a long history of working together, delivering projects with Bob & Roberta SmithTania KovatsYuko Shiraishi and John Frankland and creating PEER Participate's workshop space.
